Astroengine.com: Ares I-X: The Beginning And The End For Constellation?

"we’ll see the test launch of a brand new rocket system"
What we will see is the launch of a cobbled together publicity stunt. As we all know very little of the Ares I-X is replicated in the final design. There may be some useful validation of the sims used to model it's flight dynamics. But is that worth the cost? It's not my tax dollar but I support the suggestion that the test be delayed until a proper (M)LAS is ready... then unzip the solid at max-Q and see if the 45th Space Wing models are better than NASA's. More bang for your buck. And it would look better if it explodes ON PURPOSE!
